I'm not sure about the photo, it turns out differently from viewing it in person. It looks like the wyvern has eaten a tankful of cheetos with those orange shade on the wings. Wanted to add the dusty barrens color on the wings.

Looted Arachnarok (Completed)

And it is done.

This was a hard nut to crack. First off the plasticard conversion was built as I progress. So there wasn't really a concept sketch of it at all. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results especially the Arachnarok's color.








I'm thinking of doing something smaller scale in the future, these large projects are weighting me down.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have updated the model additional bionic gubbins reinforced parts on the bottom of the howdah. Also did the diorama.

Looted Arachnarok (WIP)

Chaos Brushes is about to hit 40,000 views. I am very happy and I thank everyone that has been visiting my blog. 40,000 is a special number for Warhammer and I intend to create something cool for everyone.

Below are WIP pictures of the conversion, mostly from plasticard. Please let me know what I can add/change for it.

It will be a small diorama with the Ork looted Arachnarok smashing through some Catachans. The setting is in Catacha, so I will include jungle tress and assorted flora.

Word Bearers Dark Apostle (Completed)

Praise Lorgar, it is done.

A fun piece to paint and convert. I have been reading Daemon World and the book feature some Word Bearers. I couldn't help but make this badboy.

Warhammer 40k Space Marine

This is every Warhammer 40k fans dream come true. The chance to play a towering 7 foot tall killing machine.

I love this game to no end. From the combat to the attention to detail of the 40k universe.

Word Bearers Dark Apostle

I always loved the design of the Word Bearers. The concept of Chaos Chaplains is too hard to pass up, so I went ahead and convert a Dark Apostle.

Necrosphinx (Completed!)

Went for a dark palette on this monster. It was risky adding the gloss on the body, but it turned out well for me.

Tomb Kings Necrophinx (WIP)

Got my hands on the Necrosphinx. I wanted the Bretonnian Knight to look in awe at the beast before it crushes him.

Still deciding on a different color than the GW *bling* version. Thinking of either a weathered gold or a stone sculpture material.

What a BLAST!

And when I say a blast I mean like 5 Apocalyptic Explosions during the Apoc game! Although my Stompa Mob did nothing except being blown to bits by Imperial Navy, the Mek Stompa Mob did fling some vehicles and cause casualties with rokkits flying everwhere.

In all an epic battle as you can expect.

On the subject of Golden Kris, I manage to nab gold for the Single and Large categories, silver for Squad. Plus the Looted Deffknight got voted for People's Choice & got a nice cool Legio cap too.

I would like to give a massive thanks to the organisers + Jeff & Chang for the delicious BBQ chicken, corn and potatoes!

Truly this is the best wargaming hobby experience!
